THE SHOW

Think of all the TV that you watch. Specialized channels for sports, music, news... Spike. We can definitely sit back and surf without remebering a time when getting what you want was blocked, and not by the cable company. 50+ years ago, Nat King Cole was the first African American to host a variety show on National T.V.(NBC). It only lasted a a year before Nat King Cole pulled the plug himself(not NBC), but there were some classic moments. The video above shows two all-time greats, a glimpse of classic entertainment. In a time when there was alot more to worry about than top billing, Nat King Cole and Sammy Davis Jr. maneuvered through the barriers as vanguards for the future of entertainment as we now know it. It looks like they kept it cool while doing it too! Check Harry Belafonte & Mr. Cole below. -Safari-
