"Molalatladi" by Blk Jks. Formed in 2000, this South African rock band from Johannesburg is sticking to the script, why fu$k with a good thing? Rock can be broken down into many genres and sub-categories, but for me nothing beats Santana's "Soul Sacrifice" performance at Woodstock, Blk Jks remind me of this long forgotten era. Reminiscent of Osibisa, another Afro-pop band from the early 70's, they are a breath of fresh air in today's over saturated musical landscape. Oh yeah, forgot to mention...the "Molalatladi" visuals...proper, real proper! -Dread Perry-
