There are tons of artists that are clearly doing their own thing. I absolutely salute those Rudies that keep their focus in the most distracting of times. This shout goes out to Blaqstarr! Completely under-rated, being scooped by the Mad Decent crew, producing on M.I.A.'s Kala, but hasn't taken off as an individual. Up to now, he has done no wrong, including the video above for "Oh My Darling". It's time to pay attention to more Blaqstarr, one of the few contemporary urban musicians who can tackle all of the emotions that have to be balanced on a day-to-day. -Safari-
