RICHARD MOSSE

"Quick" by Irish photographer Richard Mosse. Mosse used an Aerocrome film to capture the red-hued array of colors, placing the ultra sensitive subject matter of the Congo War into an unexpected light. The photos are beautiful, the subjects intense, but the color correction somehow elevates the entire print into something very surreal. Mosse said he aims "to shock the viewer with this surprising bubblegum palette, and provoke questions about how we tend to see, and don’t see, this conflict." -Dread Perry-
