We have been following JR carefully over the past year. At first, I was amazed at the social approach to street art. Then, in conversation with other artists his style and technique was under scrutiny, I had my doubts with JR. Now, I understand the layers that he was working with and the ultimate grand idea for his 28 Millimetres project that includes his Women Are Heroes film(below). Currently, premiering at the Cannes film festival, the trailer for this film seems touching and intimate. The ability to use art to extend a story beyond it's local boundaries is true vision and being able to convey the same warmth in the extension is just timeless. -Safari-
