Kwaito is a music genre that emerged in Johannesburg, South Africa during the late 1990s. It is a local evolution of house music combined with African sounds. Typically at a slower tempo, Kwaito often contains catchy melodic and percussive loop samples, deep basslines and vocals. Although bearing similarities to Hip Hop and Rap a distinctive feature of Kwaito is the manner in which the lyrics are often shouted, blabbered and chanted. DJ Diplo described Kwaito as “slowed-down garage music” most popular among the “poor [black] kids” of South Africa " -Wikipedia-
This video is visual perfection. Simple, clean, real. Black and white is a rudie favorite so you know I'm showing love. -Dread Perry-
