In my early teens I kept my walkman full with Boot Camp Click, Organized Konfusion, Redman and Souls of Mischief, until a road trip with my uncle put me onto a CD called Below The Bassline by guitarist Ernest Ranglin. The CD completely blew my mind, because it was such a classic jazz approach to reggae standards.
